For as long as there have been businesses and commercial sites, doors and handles have been around. And though there have been many types of both they haven’t changed from their initial purpose.
Doors
Doors have been the means of going in and out of buildings along with protecting the insides of said buildings. And while they haven’t changed from this purpose since they were created, they have indeed changed form.
Modern doors are created from either a wood of some kind or of metal. These are both great materials due to their durability, ease of shaping, and their longevity. As such ValTex carries wooden and hollow metal doors for commercial sites.
Hardware
This is the part of the door that has changed considerably over the course of time. From simple handles, to knobs, to locks, to exit devices and more. All of these items have different purposes and different roles.
- Handles: These can come in different forms, such as pull handles, but serve to allow someone to create leverage on the door.
- Locks: Used to keep the security of a door. These can come in different styles from: key based locks, to turn locks, to even push locks.
- Exit Devices: These are found on doors that are mainly to only be used as exits. They lack a handle and mostly only have a push activated lever for the same effect.
We here at ValTex have carried a variety of these items as seen below.
